As an independent artist, I rely on your generosity to create music.
I handle every aspect of Ruspo’s music production, from the instruments, samples and lyrics to mixing and arranging. I also manage the website and handle all other communication.
Unfortunately, this level of independence and quality comes with a cost – primarily time and financial resources. Things have been tough in Brazil, especially with the economic crisis brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic and political instability from Bolsonaro years. As a result, I am not financially stable as I have been in the past when releasing Ruspo’s previous albums.
With your support, I can continue creating Ruspo music that maintains the quality and homemade approach it deserves. I need your help to cover the time and production costs required to deliver another great album. Thank you for being part of this journey.

"LASER LUAR"
Ruspo’s third album, LASER LUAR, is coming soon with 8 brand new tracks that are already written and ready for polishing, arranging and recording. Two singles are set to be released in October and December, respectively, before the album’s full release in February 2024.
However – and even in our DIY maners, with a little help from many friends -, creating and producing an album of this caliber requires many expenses, such as bringing on additional instrumentalists, the process of arranging and producing the music, recording costs, website hosting, album cover design, and distribution and promotional.
That’s why we’re launching this crowdfunding campaign to help finance the costs of creating LASER LUAR and ensure its timely release. Specifically, we need your help to cover the costs of bringing on an accordion player for two tracks, along with a bass and guitar player, and a female singer.
With your support, we can make this project a reality, and bring LASER LUAR to life!

About Ruspo
For over a decade, Ruspo has produced DIY music with a blend of traditional and new sounds. Brazilian producer, songwriter, and singer Ruy Sposati is the force behind the project, currently working on his third full-length album.
Ruspo has recorded music all over Brazil using a computer and a combination of real and software instruments, samples, and loops. The end product is a lo-fi mix of tropical and urban sounds that blend to create a unique musical ethnography of his vast home country.
Both albums were recorded during Ruy’s work as a journalist while covering stories from the Brazilian conflict areas, from the south to the Amazon region, reflecting the experiences of the locals he met along the way.
